This month we would like to nominate our member Mitchell Casey as our member of the month for May 2019.
Mitch has been nominated for his noticed dedication to his workouts some days even training twice a day! Mitch is a keen boxer, you may have seen him in the boxing area giving the boxing bags a thrashing (would not want to meet him in a dark alley), he also has found his love for weight training too!
Q1. I started training at Spartans to improve my strength and conditioning in order to complement my boxing while maximising hand speed in the ring. This was achieved through the guidance of a previous Spartans personal trainer.
Q2. My greatest fitness achievements consists of running the Medibank Melbourne Marathon 10km event in under 40 minutes and continuing to push myself consistently, improving my fitness with every training session.
Q3. My current fitness goals at the moment would be to have my first amateur boxing fight and qualify to represent Australia in the Olympics.
Q4. What I love the most about Spartans is the community. We are all supportive of one another in the way that we push each other to achieve our fitness goals. The staff at Spartans are always super friendly and it always feels like I can make myself at home whenever I’m at the gym.
Q5. The facilities and well kept equipment, particularly the boxing training area made me want to join up straight away, but when I signed up I didn’t realise that I’d establish so many connections and meet so many likeminded people within the gym which made my experience at Spartans even better.
Q6. My favourite exercise at Spartans is the deadlift!
