Feeling Blue? Drink up!
Raise a glass…of delicious water, that is. A study out of the University of Connecticut, US, has found an association between water intake and mood state. The researches monitored subjects’ total food and fluid intake for five days and found those who drank the least water scored highest on measures of mood disturbance.
Meanwhile, recent French research has shown that when people who customarily don’t drink much water increase their intake, their mood improves and their mental fogginess is reduced. We’ll drink to that!
